I'M A SCUMBAG

Want to know just what a dirty, rotten, disgusting sinner I am? I'll tell you. Just yesterday afternoon folks came to my door to tell me about the Watchtower organization. They do not believe Jesus was truly God. That evening I wrote this about the experience:

Scripture is clear; if someone is wanting to speak of spritual things we are obligated before God to tell them the truth. So, I relunctantly decided to speak to them and witness to Christ's deity.

In the first sentence, I'm telling you just how obedient to Scripture I am. Whatta guy, huh? The second sentence reveals the truth, though. I "reluctantly" witnessed to them about "Christ's deity?" OUCH!!!!

Just so happened an opportunity to tell someone about Christ interrupted my TV show.

I recently met a couple pastors who confirmed a long held suspicion. Knowing the low level of biblical knowledge among the men currently infesting most pulpits, I've spent the last decade unable to come up with any explanation for this sad phenomenon other than these guys are stealing from the folks. They aren't spending any time at all studying the Scripture. Taking the salary, but not doing the work. Stealing.

I'll name them, allow them to answer if they wish, and give you a complete rundown of the shocking facts.

You'll be appalled at what these two FOUR STAR GENERALS OF THE ILLITERATI seem to actually do with their time.

BURN THE SEMINARY TO SAVE THE CHURCH? ...PERHAPS
In today's church a man can spend $100,000 going to Bible school and seminary for just tuition alone. Then add living expenses for 4 to 7 years without a real income.

Why?

Why are we sending young men and women thousands of miles from their home churches and into decades of debt?

Is someone serving themselves instead of God? How much did Paul charge Timothy to train him for the ministry? Why has the biblical model been replaced by a super-expensive, non-biblical bucket of nonsense like the Bible-school-and-seminary system. Is there another way to get biblical training without this sort of compromise?

I think so. And I'll prove it. A series called "Burn the Seminary" will follow the current series on The Lost Doctrine of Holiness.
